Shortly after we published a post on the Connecticut Governor’s decision to call up members of the National Guard, nursing home workers in the state reached a deal with nursing home operators to avoid a strike that was scheduled to begin tomorrow morning. While the agreement appears headed for approval, the union issued new strike notices for June 7 – in the event that the contract is not ratified.
